Welcome to Running Star Ranch!
We are a small family oriented farm that offers riding lessons in Western for all ages.
We also offer classes in horse safety and general handling for those considering riding lessons
or for those considering buying horses for themselves.

Running Star Ranch was established in 2008 in honor of my beloved horse Star.
I purchased Star as a two-year old and we immediately clicked.
He was a half Arabian/half Quarter Horse that was full of energy, personality, and a lot of heart.
For 17 years Star and I competed in several different events
including many 4-H shows, Circuits Shows and Rodeos.
He also carried me as Miss Rodeo Missouri.
We were even part of the IMAX movie Kansas City Presents!
We were a great team and it was an amazing experience to have such a bond with a horse.

After losing Star at the end of 2007,
I wanted to do something that would allow others the opportunity
to experience that same bond with a horse.
I had encountered so many people that expressed their regret in never having that opportunity.
At Running Star Ranch we emphasize the importance of that bond between a horse and rider.
