The horses at Running Star Ranch are loved and well cared for.
The horses are handled daily to ensure they are tuned up and ready for lessons.
When new riders come to Running Star Ranch we evaluate the personality of the rider
and match them with the appropriate horse.
We have horses for both beginners and non-beginner riders.
Currently we have five different horses:

MRC Rusty Doc "Rusty" ~
Rusty is a registered American Quarter Horse gelding that was foaled in April of 2003.
Rusty is a very gentle and conscientious horse that is very patient and tries hard to please.
Rusty is most happy to just take his time walking along slowly,
but is also willing to pick up the pace for riders who ask that from him.
Rusty has been ridden in several lessons, trail rides and horse shows.
He is a tall guy, standing well over 15 hands.

Lady Jane ~
Lady Jane is a purebred Arabian mare.
She is the eldest of the group, foaled in August 1987.
Lady Jane was born and raised on my parents farm and was ridden for several years by my sister.
She has a great ability to take care of young riders and is fun for anyone to ride.
She has competed in many 4-H and circuit shows and have been used several lessons and trail rides.
Lady Jane is the smallest in size of the group, but don’t let that fool you.
She has a lot of energy and loves to be taken out and ridden!

Skip Prince Array "Skip" ~
Skip is a registered Appaloosa gelding. He is the baby of the group, foaled in February 2006.
Skip is very personable and seems to always be into everything.
When you walk towards the barn, he is always the first one to greet you.
He likes lots of attention and absolutely loves to be brushed.
Currently Skip is still in training and is not yet available for beginner lessons.
He competed in a few walk/trot classes last year
and you will see me ride him when we go out for trail rides or during some lessons.

Black ~
Black is a registered American Quarter Horse gelding, foaled in 1993.
Black was used on my parents farm with the cattle before bring brought to Running Star Ranch.
He is a big strong horse that stands around 15 hands.
He has been ridden on many trail rides and competed in running events at several shows.
Black has a lot of energy and likes to get up and go!

GoJimmer Lady Go "Prissy" ~
Prissy is a registered tobiano Paint Horse mare, foaled in April 2002.
She is a very beautiful and sweet horse, but is also very competitive!
Prissy is bred for speed and will be ridden by me in competition and used in the horse safety classes.
